Brief View on UGC NET (National Eligibility Test)

Every candidate who is applying for lectures and Assistant professor in Degree colleges and universities along with the academic qualifications they must also get qualify in the decided eligibility exam. At this situation University Grand’s Commission National Eligibility Test (NET), in this way some states are conducting SLAT (state level ability test) exams individually.

National educational testing bureau which belongs to University Grands Commission (UGC) is conducting national eligibility test (NET) every year. Candidates who want to enter in teaching, Research field, to decide the minimum level is the NET’s goal. Those who have got qualified in that are given Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) which encourages doing a lectureship and researching side.

94 Subjects:-
Humanities (including languages) forensic sciences, social sciences, social sciences, computer sciences, Electronic sciences, like this approximately in 94 subjects NET exam is conducted. Experts suggest the candidates to take subjects for NET which they have taken in their post graduation and it is a good choice. Candidates who have master degree in geography (specialization population studies) or master degree in mathematics/ statistics can appear for population studies paper. Those candidates who have master degree in humanities (including languages)/social sciences can select women studies subject. The related subject syllabus can be downloaded from the website. In the same way, by examining the previous papers that are available in the websites exam method, question preparation in all these awareness can be got.

Written Exam Method:-
Written examination will be totally in objective method which consists of three papers paper-1, 2, 3 will be there. All the questions will be in multiple choice bases. For all the three papers, the exam is conducted in same day in various sections. Along with English, in Hindi medium also the question paper will be there. Negative marking is not there.

Paper – 1:- It is common to all. Totally there will be 60 questions. In this at least for 50 questions it is 2 marks the total marks given is 100. Duration one hour 15 minutes. This paper is there to test the eagerness and taste of the candidates in teaching and research field. The questions which are asked in this paper will be based on testing the skills. In this out of 60 questions only 50 questions should be answered. If more than 50 questions are answered, then the first questions which are attended by candidates will only be taken into account.

Paper – 2:- Totally 50 questions will be there. The answers must be given for all the questions. For each question 2 marks and totally it is 100 marks. Duration one hour 15 minutes. This paper is created by testing the candidate’s talent in the selected subject.

Paper – 3:- Totally 75 questions are there. The answers must be given for all the questions. For each question 2 marks and totally it is 150 marks. Duration two hours. This paper will be based on covering specialization in the subject and also it will be like testing the awareness that is there in subject by the candidates.

Qualification:- As the exam is conducted in three papers, so based on papers, category different qualifying marks are decided. Only those who have get qualifying marks in every paper, will be taken to the final results preparation.
